HNY 2016! Channel Direction and Updates

(NOTE: This is a cross-post of a message I posted over on the Facebook page, linked here for reference:

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a good 2017 so far and hopefully, it will be a better year than the horrors of 2016.

As you’ve guessed, I pretty much never make posts on here. This is primarily because I only use this page as a semi-blog, even though I already have a blog site running at, which mostly sits dormant and unused. I plan to get the blog running again, but I only ever use that when it comes to writing long ass posts (like this one!).

1. Stream Schedule

If you missed my stream schedule update video, this is the current schedule (which will likely be changed in February):
* Modded Skyrim happens on Thursday
* Blacklight/Minecraft/CS: GO happens on variable and random days.

2. VOD Upload Schedule

So basically, there’s two streams a week, providing 3-4 days of content. So when do they upload as regular VODs?
* Skyrim is Monday and Wednesday.
* BLR/Minecraft/CS: GO are uploaded on whichever day is available (weekend if not possible).
* Zeus: Master of Olympus, which is NOT streamed, are uploaded on Tuesday/Thursday.

This creates a consistent schedule of 4 days content, varied to different audiences, and allows me 3 days off to focus on other projects and real life stuff. As I said above however, this stream schedule won’t last forever, and in February, it will be changed again. I’m simply utilising the free time I have to the best of my ability ๐Ÿ™‚

3. Multiplayer Collabs

In relation to BLR/Minecraft/CS: GO, my intention is to have one stream per week which is focused solely on multiplayer gaming. This will be done as a collaboration with as many people as I can, and it will alternate each time. Because they are multiplayer and collaborative, it is completely dependent on getting people at their PCs at the right time, and this is also difficult because everyone has different lives to lead and they’re also in different time zones. What’s good for one person may not suit another, which is why these streams are varied in their time. By the time I return to Sem2 of uni, this will probably be cemented on Friday evenings at 8pm per the previous schedule.

Blog Revival (and updates!)

Hey all ๐Ÿ˜€

Well it’s been a long time since I last made a blog post on the forums, over a year now I think! I thought it was high time I make an update about stuff. I’m gonna group this into a few sections, to make it easier for you guys: the TOC area below should help with navigation. ๐Ÿ™‚

NOTE: This blog will likely be updated over the day, so please check back to see what I’ve added!

== Table of Contents ==
1. Curse Network
2. Channel Projects
3. Upgrades
4. Conclusions

1. Curse Network
As most of you know, this year I transferred to Curse Network on YouTube. Originally, I was with Fullscreen, however due to the various issues that happened on the private boards and the low sums of money I was earning, I had no choice but to leave Fullscreen. I have been told by friends I know who are still in Fullscreen that they are turning back on a lot of decisions they made, so I’m gonna keep an eye on them for a while, but the chances are I’ll be sticking with Curse for the foreseeable.

Curse has been an interesting experience. So far, I’m liking everything about it. I haven’t had to use support much, but when I have, I’ve generally gotten a quick response to any of my queries. Because the boards are open to all users, excepting a private area for Partners, this means that I’m able to help out anyone, as well as potential new partners to the network.

That said, there has been a few instances where I think to myself “Curse, why did you do that?”, but those are very rare. Overall, my experience with Curse has been phenomenal and I hope to be around with Curse as long as possible ๐Ÿ˜€

2. Channel Projects
As you’ve guessed, 90% of the count I have been uploading to the channel has been related to Skyrim. I’ve stated this in a lot of places, but I think I should state it here as well: due to my course work, it has kept me from starting a project such as Ratchet and Clank HD. As you know, I don’t like starting projects and leaving them hanging for a long time, despite the fact this has happened in the past with games like Pac-Man World 3 and Harry Potter.

There’s only a month to go until the semester ends, so I’m gonna focus on a mixture of Skyrim and Rayman content for now. However, there’s the high probability that once the Let’s Plays for Dawnguard (the first DLC expansion for Skyrim) and Rayman have finished, there will be no uploads until the semester ends. There’s also the potential for a long delay after the semester ends on 16th May, due to other major real life situations that I can’t outline here, but I will discuss in a future blog post nearer the time.

So, for now, I’m just gonna try and complete off Dawnguard and Rayman, as they are both very close to the end. Once both are complete, the channel will likely go idle for about 3 weeks: if I get time to upload anything, it will probably be soundtracks for games like Homeworld: Cataclysm, Pharaoh and so on. I may try to upload other content, but don’t get your hopes up ๐Ÿ˜‰

3. Upgrades
If you’ve been keeping up with my Rayman videos, I let slip that I plan on purchasing a new microphone for myself, as I’m finding my current headset to be cumbersome, as well as the fact that it blocks out sound, making it hard to hear things! When I get enough money, I plan on purchasing a Blue Snowball microphone and using it for as long as possible. I do NOT plan on purchasing a pop filter, as I don’t find that to be necessary (some people will disagree, but my opinion is that it is cumbersome and gets in the way).

Due to my computer set up, there is little place for me to have a pop filter added to the microphone, without it getting in the way of my screens (if I haven’t mentioned this before, I have 3 x 1080p monitors linked in Eyefinity, but this is rarely enabled), so the pop filter won’t be used.

I’m also planning to purchase a small sized SSD. One of my main issues is editing and rendering, mainly because the reading speeds are too slow, as the editing software is on the system OS, which is my original HDD that was fitted when I purchased this computer. As a result, and due to me using it as a recording drive for 2 years, it’s become quite slow, so I need to speed up editing by getting an SSD. I’m looking at the Samsung EVO, as it has pretty good reviews and is cheap. I won’t be purchasing this immediately, but will definitely get it in my summer break ๐Ÿ™‚

Hopefully this blog post has been informative and gives you an idea as to where things are going. If it was informative, then do let me know by leaving a comment on this Google+ post: I’ll try to respond to any queries you may have! ๐Ÿ™‚

This will be linked to on my Twitter feed ( – please follow!), as well as the Facebook fan page (, so if you have a social media account, please retweet / share! ๐Ÿ˜€

Many thanks for your continued support of the channel ๐Ÿ™‚

Channel Stats for 2013

So it’s 2014, the start of a new year and the year when I get really into Skyrim. Here’s my stats for 2013, they’re not as good as 2012 though, but I’m happy with the results I got last year ๐Ÿ™‚

This is my stats for the channel of year 2013.

This is my stats for the channel of year 2013.

I know that my videos can improve over time and that’s why I’m putting more emphasis on improving the quality of my voice overs this year. Hopefully the move will mean I get a larger audience and that people will begin to appreciate my newer content. The year will start off being focused on Skyrim, but will move to games like Ratchet and Clank by the summer. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope your 2014 has started out well! Let’s work together to improve the channel! ๐Ÿ™‚
